Call for ANPD Board of Directors

ANPD is seeking passionate NPD leaders to serve on the Board of Directors. This is your opportunity to bring your experience and vision to the table while helping guide the future of ANPD and advance the specialty of nursing professional development. If you're ready to make a lasting impact on the profession and your peers, we encourage you to step forward and serve.

There are currently four (4) open positions on the ANPD Board of Directors. Click the open positions below to learn more about requirements and expectations for each role.:

One (1) President-Elect Position

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current regular membership in ANPD
  • A minimum of five years' experience in the field of nursing professional development (NPD)

Expectations

  • Estimated time expectation 2-6 hours per week. 
  • Attendance at full national convention; including moderating and introducing speakers at general sessions
  • Attendance at a Fall in-person BOD meeting in Chicago, IL OR Washington D.C. at the ANPD Headquarters
  • Participate in monthly BOD calls and BOD meetings
  • Serve as BOD liaison to ANPD committees and task forces as needed and participate in monthly calls
  • Participate as a member or chair for ANPD BOD projects
  • Rotating attendance at the ANA Assembly in Washington D.C. (attendance covered by ANPD)
  • Rotating attendance at the NOA Annual Conference (attendance covered by ANPD)

Three (3) Director Positions

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current regular membership in ANPD
  • A minimum of five years' experience in the field of nursing professional development (NPD)

Expectations

  • Estimated time expectation of two to six hours per week. 
  • Attendance at full national convention; including moderating and introducing speakers at general sessions
  • Attendance at a Fall in-person BOD meeting in Chicago, IL OR Washington D.C. at the ANPD Headquarters
  • Participate in monthly BOD calls and BOD meetings
  • Serve as BOD liaison to ANPD committees and task forces as needed and participate in monthly calls
  • Participate as a member or chair for ANPD BOD projects
  • Rotating attendance at the ANA Assembly in Washington D.C. (attendance covered by ANPD)
  • Rotating attendance at the NOA Annual Conference (attendance covered by ANPD)

Board of Directors

ANPD is a member-driven organization led by a Board of Directors, comprised of a President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and five Directors. These leadership roles are integral in shaping the future of ANPD. Visit the ANPD Bylaws for more information about the Board and the elected officer's responsibilities.

Every year, the ANPD Board of Directors holds a business meeting to update members on the state of the association.
