A Closer Look at the 2022 Learning Needs Assessment
March 02, 2023 — Mary Smith, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, NC-BC, AMB-BC, C-EFM, CCE
Just one month into my work as ANPD’s education program manager, we dove into understanding more about the community we serve by preparing a learning needs assessment. Complementing the information received from participant evaluations of ANPD educational offerings, the assessment’s intent was to assist in understanding our members’ learning needs and experiences with ANPD content. In November and December 2022, the assessment was sent to members and non-members receiving email communication from ANPD and was also shared on the ANPD website and social media platforms.
I would like to thank the NPD community for taking time to complete this important assessment; your input is valued and impacts ANPD offerings. I am also appreciative of the ANPD committees and task forces that my colleague and Director of Education Naomi Fox and I have the privilege to work with to bring informative, meaningful, and inspiring content to life. We are working together to examine over 100 data points garnered from the learning needs assessment. The assessment results, along with comprehensive environmental scanning, will guide topic identification for ANPD offerings such as webinars, NPD in Motion and Forecast podcast content, and other current and future educational offerings this year and beyond. With this assessment now completed, Naomi and I are pleased to provide the results in video format.
