Nursing Professional Development Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Academy
The Nursing Professional Development Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Academy is a 12-month mentored program designed to guide the NPD practitioner through creating PICOT questions, gathering and critically appraising literature, and EBP implementation, evaluation, dissemination, and sustainment. The Academy consists of two live webinars and 26 asynchronous modules. In addition, participants complete one overall EBP initiative at their organization over the course of the year. Participants are required to submit abstracts to share their EBP initiative outcomes at the ANPD annual convention.
The purpose of the EBP Academy is to enhance the EBP competencies of nursing professional development (NPD) practitioners to enable them to fulfill their role as champions of scientific inquiry and mentor other healthcare professionals in the implementation of EBP practices.
