January 17, 2023 — By Naomi Fox, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, CCRN, and Stephanie Zidek, MSN, RN, AGCNS-BC, NEA-BC, NPD-BC
The NPD Forecast, the official podcast of the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD), has produced rich episodes designed to provide members with their own personal environmental scanning forecasters. Topics have ranged from the learning facilitator role to getting involved in nursing professional development (NPD) to combatting clinician burnout. Be sure to plug into the NPD Forecast and catch up with past episodes that remain highly relevant to NPD practice. Find the NPD Forecast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other platforms!
This year, the NPD Forecast welcomes two new podcast hosts: Naomi Fox and Stephanie Zidek. Naomi currently serves as ANPD’s director of education. She has worked in a variety of NPD roles, including clinical adjunct faculty. She plans to provide educational, digestible, and sometimes humorous commentary.
Stephanie is a current member of the ANPD Board of Directors and serves as a system director of nursing education and professional development at a large health system. She’s committed to shaping NPD practice, accelerating influence, and transforming healthcare across the continuum. As a longtime listener of podcasts and the wife of a public radio host, Stephanie has a deep appreciation for quality conversations and compelling storytelling.
Together, their individual practice and insight will help translate important subjects, challenges, strategies, and highlights through speakers’ experiences and expertise on a variety of hot topics. The goal is to provide listeners with applicable information when on the go to immediately trial or ponder in their practice setting. The information highway will be flooded. Stay tuned for the release of new episodes!
