Introducing ANPD Webinars

ANPD is hosting a ten-part Webinar series in 2014. These Webinars allow attendees to engage with speakers on topics specific to NPD from the comfort of your own desk, and each Webinar allows the registrant to earn up to 1.0 contact hour.

Registration is easy. Each Webinar requires separate registration and can be completed easily online. Only the registrant is eligible to receive contact hours for the program. 

Live Webinar Registration Fees:

  • ANPD Member: $40.00 per Webinar, per registrant
  • ANPD Non-member: $80.00 per Webinar, per registrant

***ANPD Members registering groups of 3 or more individuals from one organization receive a $5 discount per person, ANPD members registering groups of 5 or more individuals from one organization receive a $10 discount per person. Please contact ANPD Headquarters at 312-321-5135 to register.

Target Audience: 

This one-hour Webinar is for registered nurses, healthcare providers, educators, and NPD specialists who are interested in learning about the state of simulation in terms of patient outcomes.


Where are we today regarding hospital-based simulation in relation to nursing and patient outcomes?  This session provides an overview of simulation, recent advances in the field of simulation, and a look at reported outcomes of using simulation to education and improve patient care.


  • Describe the use of simulation as a teaching strategy

  • Explain the theoretical underpinnings of simulation.
  • Examine selected simulation studies that have evaluated its impact on patient care.
  • Discuss emerging trends in simulation
