To ensure you're prepared and have the best virtual experience possible, here are the tips you need to know before you click.

How to Show Up to Aspire...to Envision Virtual

Monday-Thursday, you will receive an email in the morning with everything you need to know about logging on to both live and recorded sessions. Each day will kick off with a LIVE session at 2:00 pm CDT on Zoom followed by a selection of session recordings that can be accessed in the Professional Development Center in the "My Courses" section.

Oh! And don't forget to claim your continuing education contact hours by completing session evaluations!

Networking at Aspire...to Envision Virtual

Add Networking to Your Registration: If you haven't already, make sure you are registered for the networking session It's Five O'Clock Somewhere on Tuesday, September 15 at 2:00 pm CDT. Get your favorite beverage ready and network with other fellow NPD practitioners in virtual breakout rooms based on special interest groups. Register now as a $10 add-on.

Hallway Conversations: We’re recreating the meaningful hallway conversation moments virtually on ANPD’s Discussion Forum. Watch this video for how to join the Discussion Forum, or follow the steps below to enter the Hallways Conversations.

  1. Log in to your member account at anpd.org
  2. Click Discussion Forum under Tools and Resources
  3. Click Access the Discussion Forum
  4. Select the Virtual Convention Hallway Conversations forum
  5. Select the thread you’d like to contribute to or, to start your own, click the plus sign on the left
  6. To reply to a thread click the ↩
Update Your ANPD Profile: Update your profile and add a photo so people know who you are. You can do both by clicking My Profile under My Options in the top right corner of the ANPD website when you’re logged in.

Tips! Tips! We've Got More Tips!

Test your technology. If you can, hardwire into your internet connection to prevent losing signal during a live session. Before the session starts, use the Zoom features to test your audio.

Show your face! We encourage you to turn on your camera during the networking session, but of course, it’s not required. Please do what you feel most comfortable with. 

Join the conversation. All week long, virtual convention attendees will be chatting about sessions and connecting on shared interests in the Hallway Conversations discussion forum and in the networking session. Make the most of your time and participate in these invaluable opportunities.
