As a result of the ongoing conversations between ANPD leadership, the city of Chicago and the Sheraton Grand Chicago, and to ensure the safety of our members, the ANPD Board of Directors made the decision to transition to a fully online event and exhibit hall experience. The health and well-being of our convention attendees always remain the top priority. We believe this shift in event format is in the best interest of our attendees and partners, and we are confident that we will provide the same great educational content and experience in a dynamic and interactive digital knowledge exchange.
How do I cancel my hotel room reservation if I booked through the ANPD Annual Convention hotel website/room block?
The Sheraton Grand Chicago will cancel any reservations that were booked within the ANPD Annual Convention housing block. You will receive a refund if you paid a deposit to book your room. If you did not book within the ANPD Annual Convention hotel block, you need to contact the hotel directly to cancel your room reservation. ANPD is not responsible for any hotel charges incurred to attendees or exhibitors.

ANPD is partnering with a premier online meeting vendor to ensure that the online meeting provides the same quality content that ANPD Annual Convention attendees expect. ANPD will provide how-to videos, tutorials, and guides that will walk you through using the online platform. You will receive access to the platform prior to the start of the meeting so you can create your profile, add sessions to your calendar, and get acquainted with the online environment.
All registrants will receive an email notification from ANPD when the platform becomes available. Please note, you must be registered and paid 24 hours in advance to the start of the online meeting in order to have access to the platform at the start of the event. An email notification will be sent out a few business days prior to the start of convention.
ANPD complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and is committed to providing a positive experience for all attendees. Participants who have special requirements due to a disability may indicate their needed accommodation during the registration process. Please submit accommodation requests on or before July 2, 2021.
Your registration will be automatically transferred to the online meeting. No action is required on your part. You will receive a refund back to the original payment method for the difference in registration prices.
Online participants have access to opening remarks, general and plenary sessions, award ceremonies, posters, the popular Star Search session, and all concurrent education sessions. In addition, online participants have access to recordings of all concurrent session presentations, posters, the online exhibit hall and unique networking opportunities.
Because all ANPD Convention sessions will be available for on-demand viewing, no refunds will be granted. Your registration for the in-person event will be automatically transferred to the online experience. If you already registered for convention, your registration fee will be refunded based on the new registration rates. Refunds will be processed by the end of May and an email confirmation will be sent once your refund has been processed. Already registered attendees will be refunded the difference in registration fees and refunded 100% for preconvention workshops and the networking event if applicable.
Substitutions of registrants can be made by Monday, July 19, 2021, without a fee, by contacting the registration team at email@example.com.
Due to the fact that ANPD must cancel the in-person certification preparation course, you will be given the option to transfer your registration to a live online 4-day course, or the asynchronous course. ANPD staff will directly follow up with you on next steps.
The cancellation policy would apply and only in the case of loss of employment, death in the family or other extenuating circumstances will a refund be issued.
My organization is paying by check. When does my check payment need to be received to ensure I have access to the online experience?
Similar to an in-person event, payment must be received before a participant can enter the online experience. To ensure seamless access to the online experience, all payments should be received and processed by July 23, 2021 (2 weeks prior to convention start date). Registrants will not have access to the content until payment is received and processed. If payment is not received by July 23, 2021, the participant’s registration will be canceled and the participant must re-register at the prevailing registration rate.
Due to COVID-19 our employees are working remotely. Can we take advantage of the group rate working individually from any location?
Yes, individuals within the group registration do not need to be in the same location to attend; however, they do need to be from the same organization.
There must be a minimum of 3 (three) registrants from the same organization. There is no maximum on the number of individuals in a group.
No, however, there must be a minimum of 3 (three) registrants from the same organization or additional payment will be required. Registration adjustments, including transferring registration and price adjustments, cannot be made after July 19, 2021. Group discounts can only be applied prior to the start of the conference. Discounts cannot be applied once a registration is complete.

Do we pay the group rate for each person? Or can we pay one group rate and have more than one person participate in the online convention?
Each person will register separately and receive their own log-in information and NCPD contact hours for attending sessions. Only those who are registered will receive CE certificates.
In 2021, ANPD upgraded to an online event platform that provides a robust interactive experience for the online attendee. Participants will have access to General session events, award presentations, and concurrent sessions. An online exhibit hall is available to ensure participants learn about the latest products, services and solutions for the NPD specialty. Online Attendees can choose to participate in all event games and are eligible for some great prizes.
Yes. The ANPD convention will still take place August 3-6, 2021. All participants will have access to concurrent session recordings through August 31, 2021.
Preconvention workshops are not being offered at this time. Attendees who registered for preconvention workshops will receive a refund. Those who registered for the NPD Certification Preparation Course will be given the option to transfer their registration to a live online 4-day course or the asynchronous course.
ANPD is excited to offer up to 65.5 contact hours for convention attendees who view all available concurrent, plenary, and networking sessions, networking sessions, and posters. Partial credit is awarded for each session viewed and evaluated. Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) contact hours are awarded for each session completed. The Association for Nursing Professional Development is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
All ANPD Annual Convention online content will be available until August 31, 2021. Please note, you will need to complete your evaluations no later than September 14, 2021, to receive your contact hours certificate.
