Target Audience: Nurse leaders, nurse educators, nursing professional development practitioners, professional development associates, and public health specialists.
Description: This webinar examines they ways by which current pedagogical approaches for healthcare professionals can contribute to bias in healthcare delivery and consequent negative health outcomes for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). Modifications to education design and curricula content to reduce bias and improve life quality, health, and wellness for BIPOC communities will be explored.
Outcome: 75% of participants will report a desire to assess current education design processes to reduce bias.
Continuing Education: Association for Nursing Professional Development is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
