Description: This session establishes common language around gender minority patients, discusses health disparities, and offers participants best practices to promote an inclusive environment for transgender patients.
Outcome: Upon completion of this activity, 80% of participants will report an intent to incorporate inclusive strategies in their practice environment to support the LGBTQ community.
Continuing Education: Association for Nursing Professional Development is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
