Target Audience: Nursing Professional Development practitioners, nursing leaders and academic partners who are interested in building or expanding a new graduate residency program to meet the increasing demand for registered nurses who practice in the ambulatory setting.
Description: Current trends demand for care to be delivered outside of the hospital setting. This webinar is about how changes in healthcare delivery drive the need for new graduate nurse residency programs to incorporate ambulatory specialty care content. Considerations and strategies for residency program development and potential barriers to program implementation are highlighted.
Outcome: This session will enable the learner to discuss how current health care delivery models have changed the RN workforce care setting and use targeted strategies to implement an ambulatory specific New Graduate Residency program.
