Description: Kirkpatrick conceived his four levels of evaluation in 1950. 1950! Since then, we have computers everywhere and mobile devices on our person. The shape of learning has changed, maybe not as much as we might hope, but it has changed with more to come. When honest, we have to admit that there is dissatisfaction with how we measure, how much we measure, and how much insight the data affords us. Just imagine: How can we get a better fix on the work that we are doing and the progress our people are making? This session will enable the learner to state why evaluation is important; understand how purpose-based evaluation structures our efforts; describe high value strategies; and anticipate constraints to execution.
Outcome: 65% of participants will report that this session provides information that enhances, validates, or causes a change in practice.
Continuing Education: Association for Nursing Professional Development is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
