Target Audience: RNs: NPD Specialists, Staff Development, Nurse Educators
Description: Developing and evaluating continuing education for the interprofessional team requires advanced skills. NPD experts must be able to plan collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team; evaluate professional practice gaps for different healthcare team members; implement strategies for learners to learn with, from and about each other; and evaluate the impact of continuing education on team performance and patient outcomes. Using case studies and small group discussion, learners will gain skills that can be implemented in a variety of practice settings.
Outcome: This session will enable the learner to explore skills needed to plan and evaluate IPCE activities that have a positive impact on team performance and/or patient outcomes
