Frontline Nurse Leader Development Program

This online program is designed to meet the educational needs of frontline, bedside nursing leaders.  It consists of 17 online modules designed with experiential learning activities for the practice setting.

Target Audience: RNs: RNs transitioning from bedside nurse to frontline nurse leader (charge nurse) role.

Description/Purpose: The purpose of this program is to provide the bedside registered nurse with leadership knowledge required to function effectively in a front line nurse leader (charge nurse) position. 

Outcome: 100% of participants will score a minimum of 80% on each module posttest and 75% of participants will report that each module provides information that enhances, validates, or will cause a change in practice.

Continuing Education: 

Association for Nursing Professional Development is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Total Contact Hours Available: 10.25
Partial credit is awarded for each module completed

Expiration Date: March 25, 2023

Successful completion of each module:

  1. Complete individual module
  2. Obtain a score of at least 80% on the module posttest
  3. Complete on-line course evaluation
