This online program is designed to meet the educational needs of frontline, bedside nursing leaders.  It consists of 17 online modules designed with experiential learning activities for the practice setting.

Target Audience: RNs: RNs transitioning from bedside nurse to frontline nurse leader (charge nurse) role.

Description/Purpose: The purpose of this program is to provide the bedside registered nurse with leadership knowledge required to function effectively in a front line nurse leader (charge nurse) position.

Continuing Education: 

The Association for Nursing Professional Development is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Total Contact Hours Available: 10.3
Partial credit is awarded for each module completed

Expiration Date: April 15, 2020

Successful completion of each module:

  1. Complete individual module
  2. Obtain a score of at least 80% on the module posttest
  3. Complete on-line course evaluation
