ANPD’s committees and task forces are working groups comprised of dedicated volunteers who contribute time and effort to achieving annual goals. The chair and chair-elect of each committee are appointed by ANPD leadership. Committee work is integral to the fulfillment of ANPD’s strategic goals. Please consider serving on a committee to get involved, grow your network and share your talents. The Education Committee plans and oversees the implementation of educational programming for our membership. The committee plays an important role in the selection of topics and speakers for our yearly webinar series. Members of the committee evaluate past programming to develop and improve future educational opportunities.

Products & Services Committee
Chair: Aaron Loeb, MBA, MS, RN-BC
Chair-Elect: Nikki Willis, MSN, RN-BC
The Products & Services Committee develops products for NPD practitioners. The committee performs an annual review of the ANPD Clinical Education Matrix, a chart of educational requirements from The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS and DNV.
- Perform Clinical Education Matrix review annually
- Develop new booklet for ANPD's Quick Guide Series
- Develop script and content and provide direction for video on gap analysis
- Develop products for Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE); NPD Role Development
Chair: Joan Warren, PhD, RN-BC, NEA-BC, FAAN
The Nominating Committee is a five-member committee of volunteers appointed by the Board of Directors, and is charged with nominating eligible candidates for the Board of Directors. The committee will develop a slate of qualified candidates for the Board of Directors from nominations submitted for consideration.

The Recognition Committee reviews submissions and selects recipients of awards and scholarships offered by ANPD. Award winners are selected based on an individual’s achievements and their contributions to ANPD. Scholarship winners are selected based on an individual’s need for funding and level of engagement. The 2016-2017 Recognition Committee updated the ANPD Awards to align with the new NPD Scope and Standards.
Convention Content Planning Committee
Chair: Jo-Ann Robinson, DNP, RNC-BC, APN-BC, C-OB
Chair-Elect: Sheila St. Cyr, MS, RN-BC
Members of the Convention Content Planning Committee have the exciting opportunity to provide input on our Annual Convention topics, speakers, format and activities. The committee reviews abstracts for presentations and poster sessions and participates in the selection of each session. Members are required to attend the convention they assist in planning, where they moderate sessions and serve as a point of contact for attendee inquiries.

The finance committee consists of members of the Board of Directors who oversee the annual budget development and monitor ANPD’s financials on a monthly basis.
Diversity Task Force
ANPD is committed to establishing and sustaining a diverse and inclusive environment. We encourage members under the age of 40 years; working in practice areas outside of acute inpatient settings; men; members of underrepresented groups including racial or ethnic backgrounds; and veterans to apply for ANPD positions. The goals of the Diversity Task Force are to:
- Identify underrepresented audiences and enrich understanding of the perspectives of those members
- Lead ANPD toward embracing cultural/racial/gender/generational diversity and develop supportive processes and practices
Transition to Practice Task Force
The charge of the Transition to Practice (TTP) Task Force is to conduct a gap analysis to determine the state of TTP & Transition in Practice/Fellowship (TIP) programs for various patient care settings (home health, public health, long-term care, etc.). The task force will write a position statement or white paper on their findings.
