Target Audience: Nursing Professional Development practitioners, nursing leaders and academic partners who are interested in building or expanding a new graduate residency program to meet the increasing demand for registered nurses who practice in the ambulatory setting.
Description: Current trends demand for care to be delivered outside of the hospital setting. This webinar will discuss how changes in healthcare delivery drive the need for new graduate nurse residency programs to incorporate ambulatory specialty care content into a formal transition to practice program. Considerations and strategies for residency program development and potential barriers to program implementation will be highlighted.
Outcome: This session will enable the learner to develop and implement new graduate residency programs to meet the increasing demand for registered nurses who practice in the ambulatory setting.
Continuing Education: The Association for Nursing Professional Development is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
